| Investigation Leads to Fraud Arrest |

A combination of thorough investigation and covert surveillance lead to the arrest of a Hialeah man for grand theft and filing a false insurance claim. Eric Fuentes stated that he sustained multiple injuries when he was inside a parked vehicle that was struck by bus. Investigation and surveillance conducted by KP Assurance Services of Orlando detailed conflicting statements and no visible injuries to Mr. Fuentes.
The file was turned over to the Florida Department of Financial Services, Fraud Division who agreed that Mr. Fuentes was not in the vehicle at the time of the accident. When presented with the evidence, Mr. Fuentes admitted that he was not present during the accident. He was subsequently arrested for submitting a false and fraudulent claim to the insurance company for over $13,000.
